It is a group of 10 columns, the smallest column is 10 cm long and the largest is 1 meter long. The columns are colored red and blue and each column is divided into units, the unit length is 10 cm, the smallest column is one unit and the next two units even the longest is divided into 10 units.

The number bars introduce the child to the quantity from 1 to 10 and its number names. By exploring with the material, the child also develops concepts in number sequences, groups of 10 and basic arithmetic. The material consists of 10 wooden bars, divided into modules alternating between red and blue, progressing in 10 equal steps from 10 cm to 1 meter.
